Here's what our customers tell about...

...the Sling:

The sling is fantastic, I had been missing the advance lever on my new M8 up until now. The Sling, Hook and Strap work perfectly together, which allows me to quickly and easily work strapless when I want. Great! Bob A ., Toronto, Canada (2007)

The sling works great with the Leica M grip; I now can abstain from using neckstraps. I was more than surprised at the way the ergonomics of the sling complimented the M grip!
Thank you for such a wonderful product! Alan A.,  Pleasant Hill, CA (2007)

I recently took my M6 on holiday with Lutz's SLING fitted. It is undoubtedly the most useful photographic accessory I have ever purchased (which is why I have just ordered another for my M4!). Nigel U., Jersey, UK

I have been using Leica's since 1960 and this is the best thing yet. I put one on my old M2 and the M6. For the M2 with a soft release it is perfect. Unbelievably simple, unbelievably perfect.Thanks. Laurence G., Great Barrington, MA

Great things come in small packages. Many thanks! Byron W., Great Britain

Great product! Used it today and it was worth every penny! Thanks! Cyrus K., Switzerland

Your Sling is so cool! Thanks. Cary P., Fayetteville, AR

The Sling arrived yesterday in the mail. Thank you, I have put it on fairly easily, and it seems to do the trick. The Sling will allow me to be even more discreet with my photography. And you can quote me on that. Eric L., Washington, D.C.

Love the Sling! Neatest gizmo for a Leica in a long time. Good luck Lutz. Mike B., Northfield, MN

I installed it today and was quite surprised at how it helps me handle the camera. It allows me to securely grip and control the camera without the neck strap flapping about, yet allows me to drop the camera down to my side without fear of dropping it. Ingenious! Craig Z., Cary NC

The Sling is so handy I wish I had ordered two so I had one for both camera bodies. It's a very clever and useful idea! Kevin M.

I love the Sling. It makes the M6 very easy to handle. I've always hated camera straps and the Sling is a great, and very functional, alternative. Sven S.

Thanx for the Rollei Sling, it works really well and makes a perfect match together with Tom's mini softie. Benny G.

I put on the Sling as soon as I opened the box. I must say that I absolutely love it. Since I have started wearing cargo pants (the pockets will hold an M body, a couple of Summicrons, an incident meter, and film) the Sling is perfect. I don't have to worry about a neck strap getting in the way, and I don't have to worry about my Leica being an easy target. Thank you once again. John H.

Thank you very much for your fine product. John S.

I just love the Sling, excellent idea! John A.

Just wanted to tell you the Sling is unquestionably the best accessory I have for my M7. It has changed the way I use the camera. Jonathan G.

It took a little while to get used to it, but I must admit it does wonders to improve the handling of the camera. I'm quite impressed. Robert D., Japan

Meine Anerkennung für die Idee und die Herstellung dieses sehr nützlichen Zubehörs. Heinz W., Germany

Thank you for the Leica Sling. It's a really neat device that you should market more strongly in the U.S. It's so simple yet effective! John G., Kansas

Thanks, I love it! Fernando La R., Macon, GA

Incidentally, you might be interested to hear that the Sling will work in a modified way with the new motor-M drive. With it's extremely large grip, it's nearly impossible to use the sling in the usual fashion (using the middle two fingers). Instead, I insert my first two fingers (index and middle) in the Sling, and bring my hand up so the last two fingers (ring and pinky) are wrapped around the grip. The middle finger is partly around the grip and partly hugging the top of the camera. The index finger rests on top of the shutter release. Since the grip is so large, it provides adequate support to hold the camera in this fashion.

My backup camera is a Konica Hexar RF and the Sling is the perfect match for it. Dan H., Timonium, MD

I've had much success with the Sling on one of my Konica Hexar RF bodies, even though it was made with Leica Ms in mind. *Very* elegant and simple solution, IMO. Barrett

Caramba con su invento! Felicidades! Muy simple y cómodo. Jorge R.

Es ist ein Traum. Die Slings für die M7 und die G2 sind perfekt verarbeitet, extrem hilfreich und praktisch, tragen in keiner Tasche auf, sind stabil und flexibel. Himmel, was will ich mehr? Joachim S.

After using the Sling for about 10 days I found it extremely comfortable and it has become my preferred way of carrying my M3. Thank you very much!! Nikolas P., UK

Lutz's Sling, which I got a month ago, makes me grin broadly with delight. The M6 has never felt so ready for use, and so conveniently available. Highly recommended, even for a try. At his prices, you can't lose. Mani S.

I intend to keep using the Sling. It comes to its own when used with your Hook. In the past I carried the R8 with the neck strap wound around my wrist. The Sling is much better. Stan G., Auistralia

The very best solutions, as they say, are always the simplest, and the Sling is pure simple genius! Paul H. C.

The Sling is the greatest thing since the wheel! Paul H. C.

...the Shade:

The Shade is absolutely fantastic. I have found I cannot live without it! I shoot a lot of Noctilux and its astounding the difference it makes focusing. Paul G., Sweden

I love the reduced contrast on the frame lines. I find I concentrate more on the image without the distraction of the bright frame lines. Additionally, I have yet to get any "flare-outs" in the focusing area and that was definitely an occasional problem before I installed the Shade. Sven S.

The Shade has really kept flare away from my M6 so much so that I had almost forgotten it existed. Till my M6 recently broke down and I had to loan one from a friend. And as you can guess, Shadeless and definitely not flareless. Low Wei Ren Joel

I couldn't say enough how functional the shade is. It completely blocked out the eye-sore flare on my .85 M6. Henry T.

The Shade stays on all the time and has reduced the dreaded Leica finder flare as stated. Keep up the good work. Don M.

Habe das Shade bekommen. Funktioniert!! Salvatore R., Switzerland

I purchased a 'Shade' from Lutz Konermann, applied it to my M6 0.85 Classic and it works wonders! No more flare, much easier to focus in almost all situations, and no degradation in rangefinder brightness. I highly recommend the device to anyone who has had issues with the rangefinder flaring. At $6.00 it is the bargain of a lifetime - Leica won't even answer the phone for $6.00, let alone sell an accessory ;) Mark A.

Although I seemed to experience 'patch white-out' in a few M6's I have, the Shade helped eliminate it ALL - and I feel I lost no light whatsoever. Seemed to increase contrast as well. Scotch tape may work, but your item works best!

Rainer S.

The Shade is very very very very very usefull till the first time. Simone P.

Certainly seems to help that focusing in bright light. Good stuff!! Duncan

The flare caused by oblique light striking the illuminator window is really annoying. I have found that I can often reduce it enough to focus by shifting my eye. But sometimes it just makes focusing impossible.

For this situation, Lutz Konermann's "Shade" is the best solution I've found. It does dim the viewfinder frame lines, particularly on the right side (but not the RF itself). This can also be annoying, but at least one can focus. In daylight, the "Shade" can only help, and there's enough ambient light that the framelines will be OK on all but the grayest days. Indoors, with light bulbs all over the place, it will also help, but you may lose the vertical frameline on the right.

When I wear glasses, the "Shade" is usually stuck on my illuminator window. Now that I mostly wear contacts, I keep the "Shade" in my bag, and stick it on when I need it. When the sticky surface gives out, I just peel off the double-sided tape on the back and put a new piece on. Peter K. Seattle, WA

Your Shade is terrific. Mani S., Singapore

Wow - the Shade is darn cool! Eric K.

...the Slide:

Take the plunge, buy the Shade and Slide at least. The Slide will save you from the terrible "I changed the film but not the meter" disease. I feel almost "naked" without my Slide. Ned L.

The Slide and Sling have changed my life! Jacques B.

I just purchased another M-6 and wouldn't think of using it without the Slide and the Shade. Thank you for creating such useful accessories. E. Learned

...the Sfill:

Dear Lutz - received Sfill etc. this morning. I'm delighted. Really impressed with it. Love the tungsten converter too! Very many thanks. David McClean

Just think, if you put the word "Leica" on your products, you could sell them for 700% more! Seriously, Lutz, I am always impressed with your creativity. Between you and Tom Abrahamsson, the Leica world is always changing for the better. Josh R.

Just received the SFILL and I love the simplicity of the design and the ease of use. Brooks v. A., NJ

This is a really cool idea! Now it makes sense to get the flash. Mike M.

Lutz, you make simple effective and practical stuff - just like Leica only inexpensive. G'donya! Tim G., Australia

Thanks, the items are great. The Sfill is particularly clever. Stephen C.

Your Sfill is terrific! Toby W.

Your products are just great. The Sfill is a masterpiece. Gives the SF20 a larger/better reflection surface than the Metz 40MZ reflector. Alan B., Belgium

I have just used the Sfill you supplied me with on an extended assignment and I am completely pleased with the results. The photos were shots of people at a long table in a dark restaurant. The lighting results were very even and further did not wash out those close-by nor really leave those further away in deep shadow. I have only got such results previously with larger flashes and softboxes. Ed S.

Everytime the SF20 comes out of my bag the Sfill goes on. I love it more each time I use it. Brooks v..A.

What a pleasure it is to carry and use your Sfill. It has encouraged me to rethink the potential of the SF20 flash. Lewis D.

Yes, your SFILL is wonderful! Flash output is so much softer. I've been using a Nikon SC-17 cable for TTL, which helps alot. Why Leica doesn't have a bounce head is beyond me. Anyway, thank you so much again for excellent products. Trevor P., NY

...the Hook:

The Hooks are much more dainty than I imagined... I was expecting something twice that size. I suspect that you will be sending me some more before too long! (2008)

I received the products at the office today. Many thanks for the fast shipment! They all look fantastic--and up to the usual Konermann standards. I'm especially impressed with the Hook.

I will soon be sending you another order for 2 Hooks and a Sling. I have found that with the Leica strap they are the perfect match for the Voigtlander Bessa Winder. The Hooks allow a perfect vertical carry and a secure quick release to use the Sling alone. The Sling also works perfectly with the winder. David D.

The Hook is a godsend. Thank you for this essential piece of hardware. It will find a home on my M6 right away. Dan H., Timonium, MD

I think 15 years of life expectancy is an underestimation... On reflection, it's more like18 or 20, and I use it on my keyring, every day of my life. It's indestructible, I suspect. Dan C.

Truly clever and great stuff! Dr. Owen W.

...the Scoop:

Very clever. T. Abrahamsson, Canada

I am very happy with my Sling and Scoop. Jesse K., CA

...the Steer:

The Steer makes focusing the longer throw of the 75/1.4 amazingly quick and effortless. Made of light weight, yet strong plastic, it adds little to no weight. It goes on in seconds and as far as I can tell, so far, once there doesn't budge. Hats off to Lutz (this is not a paid political message). After really putting it to the test at a rockem sockem wedding, I'm getting one for my 90/2 and Nocti. Marc W.

I installed one on my "noct" and immediately realized that focusing with one finger is SUBSTANTIALLY faster than using two or three fingers. It is a great improvement. Ned L.

I received my STEER 2 days ago, intended for a first generation Tri-Elmar. Placed on the focusing ring, it appears to give foolproof identification of the otherwise nearly identical rings for focus, focal length and f-stop. Ed S.

Restlos begeistert bin ich vom Steer, der wirklich ein grosse Hilfe beim Fokussieren ist. Joachim S., Germany

...the Stuff in general:

The 'goodies' arrived safely, thank you. I am delighted to have them and am very grateful to you for producing them and making them available so cheaply. They are among the few bargains to be had in Leicaworld. C. Day, U.K.

I must write my experience with Lutz's toys. They are remarkably practical, clever, inexpensive and effective. I've not tried every one, but the Sling, S-Fill, Scoop & Hook I got together with an Abrahamson Softie that Lutz had available. I was a difficult customer, needed a third party to forward payment for actual shipment to yet another country to be, please, timed to delivery on the following dates. He was a total gentleman and helped me every step of the way and updated me far more often than was warranted by these small things and the low costs. But I received them all, and he offered follow up responses to my comments and questions. I was initially intimidated by the S-Fill. Deciding to stick the Velcro on my SF-20 took me a while. Then, on first feel, it is big and boxy - even if practically weightless. But the first night festival for close-ups, wide-angles and portraits proved its genius. Soft full coverage of my 24/2.8, as well as softening the close-ups with 35/2 ASPH, 50/2 & 90/2 APO. It worked great with the M6 TTL. Shortens the reach for the 90, of course, so one removes it for distant shots. It's design and its lightness are the greatest assets. It pops on and off in a jiffy and swings naturally when you leave it on while you walk around dangling it from your Sling. Subjects seem unafraid if not attracted to it and open their eyes right into it. The Softie needs no new accolades, but I live in fear of my losing mine because I love it so much. I've developed a twitch that slides my finger across it to constantly tension its seat in the threads. Otherwise known as the "itchy trigger finger" syndrome. Pretty Boy Floyd was my childhood godfather. The SLING is the ultimately cool idea. It is a very simple design, but Lutz will deliver you a custom measured strap of the perfect weight, width and type. It feels a little odd at first. If you stick the camera too far down in your bag before you remove your fingers.., you can't. That can make ya feel dumb. But very soon it is so comfortable to walk around with the camera body just dangling from your fingers.

I use the M-Grip, so fingertips rest in position while the middle fingers actually dangle the weight. If you're just walking and taking photos, it is really a fantastic set-up. The HOOK is very clever, but took me a while to reach a configuration I found workable. Lutz took the time to describe his favorite way to use it, and I found it quite practical. I have not taken the SLING off my M6 ttl since I put it on 3 months ago. I've shot about a hundred rolls. But, occasionally, a strap is useful. I have two CLEs that I bought new and still use. The Hook lets me choose quickly between bag or strap to stash the M6. It's great. The SCOOP (the names are curious) is just that, a reverse hood for the eye piece. Very light, an initial impression is that its flimsy, but it's not. It fits snugly around the eyepiece, yet leaves full access to normal screw-in accessories and give a shaded view in. I put it on and am no longer "aware" of its presence, as I like it that much. It never snaps or catches in my tight camera bag or pouches, either. So, this is my thanks to Lutz for his great service and his very clever innovations. I sincerely recommend these neat products. Totally unpaid, unsolicited, my own opinions. Regards, Owen-- Dr. Owen W., Burma

I received my package from you today along with all my goods, and I already have them in use. Hey, I know how much people go on about the Sling, but I have to say its EXCELLENT, simple, but so good at what it does. I'm also very glad that I bought two! So along with the Hook, (I'm not sure if your web page does this little beauty enough justice!) Shade and Scoop I am very happy with all your products and already know that they will add to the usefulness of my camera. Ashley E., Sidney, Australia

Thanks again for designing such a good accesories for Leica M system. I'm impressed of the rapid-reaction customer service of your good company. Looking forward to see your new inventions in the future and pls don't forget to inform me. Jim H., Taiwan
