Step up to Steps.

The STEPS set allows you to use 77mm filters on common Leica M lenses with 60, 55, 46 and 39mm filter threads. It even allows you to look through (and thus preview the effect of) these 77mm filters since the 77mm step up ring has cut outs on its rear. Thus, without having to resort to a costly and restricted original Leica Universal Polarizing filter with swing out mechanism any 77mm polarizing filter will work fine. And any other type of filter, too, of course.

We decided to include this package in our line of goodies for the Leica M and call it STEPS. Here are its features:

  • Made in Germany (by Heliopan) out of solid brass thus allowing for a smooth and lasting fit.
  • A complete set of step up rings allowing for whichever combination between common Leica M lenses and filters.
  • Comes in a compact neoprene filter pouch (newest design from Optech) with two separate compartments.

The STEPS include:

  • 39mm (0.5) to 46mm (0.75) step up ring (use 46mm filters on 39mm threaded lenses).
  • 46mm (0.75) to 55mm (0.75) step up ring (use 55mm filters on 46mm threaded lenses - or 39mm lenses in combination with the above).
  • 55mm (0.75) to 60mm (0.75) step up ring (use 60mm filters on 55mm threaded lenses - or 46mm, 39mm lenses in combination with the above).
  • 60mm (0.75) to 77mm (0.75) step up ring with cut outs (use 77mm filters on 60mm threaded lenses - or 55mm, 46mm, 39mm lenses in combination with the above).
  • neoprene two compartment filter pouch
